The under graduate course prepare the nurse for responsibilities such as health team workers, supervisor, teacher and administrator through theory and practical as well as clinical education training and similarly post graduate course make them a good administrator and qualified teacher.
Nagpur is centrally located city of India. It was the capital of the old C.P. & Berar state and is now the second capital of Maharashtra. Nagpur is a growing and systematically developing green city of India.
Nagpur is one of the biggest education center of India . Nagpur has many Indian and international chain of hospitals and research center. All such hospitals have registered their demand for the trained nurses indicating immediate employment opportunities.
Vision & Mission of the College
The mission of this programme is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities in the primary, secondary and tertiary health care of people as professional nurses. It is excepted that graduates will be capable of teaching and supervising appropriate nursing and health care in different settings and participate in the administration of nursing service and education.
Nursing is one of the best career option available to the science students after HSC. It has been a profession with high standards and a strong of sense of public service for over 150 years.
Nurses have played and continue to play a critically important role in meeting the vast & deep need for affordable high quality health care in India & abroad.
At present India has 78 registered Nurses per 1,00,000 population whereas united states has 972 Nurses per 1,00,000 population. This shows the deficiency and need of Nurses in the country. It has been estimated that by the year 2020 the deficit can grow up to 10 million.
