BEST PRACTICE 1: INDUCTION PROGRAM (2024 – 2025)
MKSSS Sitabai Nargundkar College of Nursing for Women conducts a Student Induction Program every year as one of its best practices to support newly admitted students. The program provides guidance on professional values, academic expectations, and personal development. The Student Induction Program is organized for B.Sc., P.B.B.Sc., and M.Sc. Nursing students to help them smoothly transition into nursing education. The program introduces students to the philosophy of nursing, emphasizing compassion, empathy, ethical practice, and professional responsibility.
BEST PRACTICE 2: ALUMNI LED TEACHING (2024 – 2025)
Alumni play a vital role in strengthening the academic environment of an institution. The Alumni Led Teaching program provides an opportunity for graduates to return to the institution and share their clinical experiences, professional expertise, and career guidance with current students. MKSSS Sitabai Nargundkar College of Nursing for Women organizes regular Alumni Led Teaching sessions as a best practice under NAAC Criteria 7. Alumni from different clinical specialties are invited to conduct sessions, workshops, and interactive discussions with students. To assess the effectiveness of the session, pre-test and post-test evaluations were conducted.
Best Practice 1 Title of Best Practice :- ‘Joy of giving’ (contributing fistful rice and pulses). MKSSS Sitabai Nargudkar College of Nursing for Women organized a "Joy of Giving" campaign, encouraged students and staff to contribute fistfuls of rice and pulses. This weekly drive focused on collecting staple, non-perishable food items to donate to an old age home, promoting the spirit of giving. A dedicated team of student and faculty volunteers managed collections, sorted and packaged donation
Best Practice 2 Title of Best Practice :- Social Involvement Program MKSSS Sitabai Nargudkar College of Nursing (SNCON) organizes various awareness days and outreach events to promote health, education, women empowerment, and social awareness. These activities foster professional development, cultural sensitivity, and community service, enriching the overall educational experience.
